Anunciamos la realizaci=F3n de un evento internacional con la participaci=
=F3n
del Presidente de LIADA e integrantes de la Secci=F3n Cometas de la LIADA
donde participar=E1n los profesionales especialistas sobre el tema de los
cometas y astr=F3nomos aficionados que nos representar=E1n.

La LIADA a trav=E9s de la Secci=F3n de Cometas en esta oportunidad co-organ=
izan
junto al Editor del International Comet Quarterly (ICQ) del Tercer Simposio
Iberoamericano de Cometas de la LIADA y el 5=BA IWCA International Workshop=
s
on Cometary Astronomy el viernes 7 y el s=E1bado 8 de agosto de 2009 en el
Planetario de Rio de Janeiro, Brasil

Estos dos eventos se celebrar=E1n en simultaneidad con el programa oficial =
de
la "XXVII Asamblea General de la IAU" que se desarrollar=E1 del 3 al 14 de
agosto con la presencia de los astr=F3nomos de todo el mundo.

Para nuestras actividades especiales est=E1n planeados dos d=EDas de
actividades, a saber:
Viernes 7 - Reuni=F3n de la Secci=F3n Cometas de la LIADA en portugues y en
espa=F1ol, con las ponencias y exposiciones de astr=F3nomos profesionales y
aficionados invitados.
Al cierre se anunciar=E1 la Convocatoria al 4=BA Simposio Iberoamericano de
Cometas a realizarse en la Universidad de UNILASALLE de Canoas (Brasil) en
el segundo semestre de 2010.

Sabado 8 - 5=BA IWCA International Workshops on Cometary Astronomy
Reuni=F3n conjunta entre profesionales y aficionados en ingles.
Para esta segunda reuni=F3n tendremos de 3 a 4 exposiciones de profesionale=
s y
un n=FAmero similar de aficionados que presentar=E1n trabajos desarrollados=
 en

Esta es una excelente oportunidad para afirmar y expandir el trabajo

An international meeting on cometary astronomy to be held in Rio de Janeiro=

Brazil, on 2009 August 7 (Friday) and 8 (Sat.) is being organized jointly b=

the Ibero American Astronomy League (Liga Ibero Americana de Astronomia =3D
LIADA) and the International Comet Quarterly (ICQ). The meeting will includ=
e
the participation of both professional and amateur astronomers.

The LIADA, through its Comets Section, will call this the Third Ibero
American Symposium on Comets of LIADA, and it will be the fifth
International Workshop on Cometary Astronomy (IWCA) co-sponsored by the ICQ=
.
The meeting will be held in the Planetarium of Rio de Janeiro.

These events will take place in the midst of the XXVII General Assembly of
the International Astronomical Union (IAU), which will be held in Rio de
Janeiro between August 3 and 14, 2009. The IAU General Assembly will be
attended by thousands of astronomers from around the world.

We are planning two days of activities, divided in the following way.

Friday, Aug. 7: Meeting of the Comets Section of the LIADA, held in
Portuguese and Spanish languages. There will be presentations from invited
professional and amateur astronomers. At the end of the sessions, the Fourt=

Ibero American Symposium on Comets of LIADA will be announced (to be held i=

Canoas, Brazil, in the second semester of 2010), co-hosted by the
Universidad de UNILASALLE.

Saturday, Aug. 8: Fifth International Workshop on Cometary Astronomy.
Joint meeting between professional and amateurs astronomers to be conducted
in the English language. For this second part of the two-day comet meeting,
there may be 3-4 presentations from recognized professional astronomers in
the field of comets, and a similar number of presentations from members of

This is an excellent opportunity to strengthen and expand the joint work
between professional and amateur astronomers -- one of the main objectives
of LIADA, that has been put into practice with very good results.
